„Saudade“ ist ein Wort aus dem Portugiesischen, das sich nur schwer direkt übersetzen lässt. Eine Mischung aus Sehnsucht, Nostalgie und bittersüßer Erinnerung.
Es beschreibt dieses Gefühl, wenn du etwas oder jemanden vermisst, aber gleichzeitig dankbar bist, dass du diese Erfahrung überhaupt hattest. Also nicht nur Traurigkeit, sondern eher ein melancholisches „Es war schön, und genau deshalb tut es weh, dass es vorbei ist“.
Ein paar typische Situationen für saudade:
Du denkst an eine Person zurück, die nicht mehr in deinem Leben ist.
Du erinnerst dich an eine Zeit, die nie wieder genauso zurückkommt (Eine Beziehung, eine bestimmte Zeit).
Ein Song oder Geruch bringt plötzlich Erinnerungen hoch, die gleichzeitig warm und schmerzhaft sind.
Du willst nicht unbedingt die Person zurück, sondern die Zeit, das Gefühl, den Moment.
